What does Matching Numbers do?
Matching Numbers is the finance team for startups and scale-ups across the Netherlands. We take your entire financial administration off your hands: the daily bookkeeping, your VAT and corporate tax returns and the year-end close. If you have staff, we run payroll too, always at 20 euros per employee per month. The difference with a classic firm is the rhythm. Where most bookkeepers update quarterly, we keep your books current every day. You see your cash position, burn and runway in your dashboard in real time, and your reporting is always ready for an investor, a bank or a due diligence.
You pay a fixed monthly fee that grows with your invoice volume, with no hourly billing and no setup costs. Every plan covers your administration, your VAT, payroll and corporate tax returns, the year-end close and the reporting that comes out of it. And because we work exclusively with startups and scale-ups, you never have to explain runway, MRR or an investor update: that's our daily work, from your first VAT return to the administration around a Series A.
Where the name comes from
In the classic car world, matching numbers means the engine, the gearbox and the chassis all carry the numbers the factory gave them. A car whose numbers match is worth the most when it is sold, because there is nothing left to take on trust. The same holds for a company. When your bookkeeping, your returns and your reporting all tell the same story, you are in the strongest position in a funding round, in a due diligence and at an exit. That is the whole idea, and it is what we build.
What we take off your hands
We take the recurring financial work off your hands and make sure the figures are right, current and readable. That is the bookkeeping, the returns, the year-end close and the reporting an investor or a bank asks for. Advice is a separate profession with a separate responsibility, and it sits with specialists.
- Continuous bookkeeping, updated daily instead of per quarter
- VAT, payroll and corporate tax returns, filed on time
- The full year-end close in the bookkeeping platform
- Dashboards with your cash position, burn and runway, plus investor-ready reporting
- Payroll, and the administrative side of the WBSO scheme
- Strategic or financial advice, tax planning and structuring
- Valuations, financing advice and the statutory audit of annual accounts
- The annual accounts for your KVK filing we do handle, but as an optional add-on at an agreed fee
What it costs
A fixed monthly fee per entity, scaling on the number of sales and purchase invoices we process for you: Starter 250 euros for 0 to 75 invoices a month, Growth 325 euros for 76 to 125, Scale 475 euros for 126 to 200. Bookkeeping, the returns, the year-end close and the dashboard are included, and onboarding and migrating your current administration are part of the fee, so there are no setup costs. Payroll always costs 20 euros per employee per month.
